Next big project - Oni samurai

I was torn between a steam punk octopus monster or an oni samurai.

I think I am going with the samurai. Again around 16-20 inches tall. I will start designing today and try to figure out what pose I want him in.

I get to use a lot of the skills I've picked up with the last two big projects...hopefully.

Should be fun and I'll drag you all along.

The head print failed due to my poor modeling. I am going to try to fix it this afternoon.

A lot of clean up in the yard today and woodworking projects so it's in the queue. Have to start thinking what my next project will be.

Its in the 80's and hot outside so deferring yard work and woodworking until tomorrow morning.

This is the new base I am going with and worked on the head a bit. I should have this finally printed by Sunday if I don't have any more failures.

Print done and epoxy glue applied. I'll sand and clean up tomorrow and start with a primer coat before I paint it at some future point. Model has sooo many errors but still really happy with it.

Glue is finally dry enough I am not scared of moving it around and putting the swords in the hands. I wasn't going to glue them on until after painting but who knows.
