I really enjoy making Native American Flutes (NAFs). Unfortunately, I have given all my flutes away. Whenever a good friend or family comes to visit they always remark on the flutes so I feel required to give them one.

I know know its not as classy to 3d print a flute totem but I think it can expand my creativity. I cnc'ed flying dragons and eagles for my last batch of NAFs. This batch I may 3d print one or two totems. The totems can easily be swapped out when I cnc carve something new in the future.

This is my first design from an old 3d model I made years ago.

I've had three print failures due to failure to adhere to the plate so I am currently drying out my filament. Hopefully, I get better results tomorrow after I finish drying it.

I am having such a blast with my printer. Made a quick 3d model and then threw it into the printer for a new leather stamp for my flute. I have to reprint it so its a bit smaller and need to use lighter weight leather for the final piece but worked great.

Did two more flutes. Finalized my design. I still have to clean up my woodworking workflow and tuning is still rough. Kind of an F/F# flute. Not really an issue unless playing with another instrument.

Same inner diameter of the resonance chamber and length but thicker flute walls.
