How do they get such a smooth finish on these - really expensive and high quality 3D printer?

Cool ...i nearly purchased a kit-car copy of the first Countach way back in 1990...it was 1' longer than my garage at the time and i had to pull out of the deal, i was devastated as the Countach was my young boy/mans version of car-porn...it still is

That's a bummer! I came close to building a Factory Five Cobra and also looked into a Ford GT kit. But alas, life got in the way and I no longer had a garage to do the build for either. By the time I once again had the funds and space my woodworking was in full swing. I still wish I had one or both of those cars but not enough to build one at this point.

First, they have better tools, better materials, and better process control than us mere mortals. 2nd, they still sand. 3rd, they paint and polish, and that fills imperfections.
