tomorrow we, in Maine, are expecting temps with wind-chill down to -40F to -60F!
not sure i will be out in my shop tomorrow, as i don't think my machine would even move when that cold...

also, i think i may buy a premium membership fairly soon, when i can afford it... i had forgotten how the ads were on these forums without it... ;)

-17F static temperature outside, with a wind-chill of -36F! 🥶

woke up and my bedroom was a warm 72F, due to i have my website server rack in there, and servers produce a fair amount of heat. yet i stepped out of my room, and the rest of the house was about 57F. 🥶 we have both a oil and a wood furnace to heat the house. we have no firewood, and the oil furnace just was not keeping up with the cold. the house is a uninsulated Sears & Roebuck house built in 1902 (IIRC).

Don't miss that at all. My fireplace is only for ambiance. We are going to be near 60F today in East Texas. May actually be able to make it into my uninsulated garage shop soon.

Stay warm. I lived a few years in North Dakota and experienced their winters. Sounds like Maine has similar winters.
