Hi Mark, for the benefit of Newby members just getting into (or considering) 3D printing can you explain why (Quoted comment) ...and can you please also explain the difference between 8x8x8 and 6x6x6...TIA.

6x6x6 and 8x8x8 are the build volumes in inches. 216 cui vs 512 cui is more than 2x the build volume.
PLA is $15 to $30 USD (delivered) per kilo, per COLOR. Lots of colors, lots of reels, lots of $$$. I've got about 18 partial reels, and several I've finished off, for over $500 in materials for a $300 printer!

I just bit the bullet on a Creality Ender 3 v2 Neo Its on sale at Amazon for another hour for $255. I have been looking at many different ones over the last week, and just get more confused. So I figured I would stick with what friends and family have, and then this one came up at 20% of, so I went for it.

good unit. Learn TinkerCAD. One operating note, the SD card inserts connector side UP!

Yea, feature wise it did not seem bad, then I found the 20% off. My sister has an extension cable for her Micro sd card. And has the end hot glued tot the side of the display. That way if anything goes bad, it will likely be the end of the extension, which can easily be replaced.

TinkerCAD is designed to be used by kids. It even has LEGO MODE! Download your design, click on the file, and slice it, & UR ready 2 go!
Start simple. Make some spacers, beads, etc.
Cleck out cults3d.com for canned objects. I've got a bunch stuff there and under my name at TinkerCAD. Most of the programs will load a monochrome bitmap file and print from that. I captured hurricane Ian's landfall radar and 3d printed it with "Ian Survivor" in raised letters with a ring for your Keychain. Just about anything you can imagine. You're a big kid, print your own toys!
I like glow in the dark filament as my default. Just 'cause! LOL

So the electronics end of the signal. Thats cool. I was sent to two different Comsec repair courses in the mid 90's, They were both a joke, as far as a repair person. If this does not work, you replace the cable. OK, were do you get the replacement? order it through supply, or main depending on the codes. So in the end, there was no repair, only wait and replace.

Finally got a status saying it departed Akron Oh, and should be delivered on Tue the 10th. We shall see.

Well, the USPS says it will be delivered by 9PM today, I got news for them it did not make it.
