I don't know anything about this, but a friend suggested that i have a look at it (**)...i've watched some YT videos and it seems ok; kinda reminds me of my ZBrush...so, is the paid version worth the greenbacks (££$$) or should i not bother with it ?

(**) P.S. i can trial it first, if it's no good i can delete it.

Its Adobe Substance 3d. It is a 3d modeling software and part of the their family of programs. Has a very clean user interface and looks pretty. I have never used it so can't say how good or bad it is.

From their website, current subscription model for $50 a month and separate from their creative cloud bundle. :(

Yes, but it is in line with other 3d programs costs. Cinema3d is $60 a month. Zbrush is $30 a month. So they are all in the same ball park. And yes you do need to be using it a lot to make it not a super expensive hobby.

They are all used commercially in different industries heavily.

Phew, i just checked out their subscription prices o_O ...i like and own some Adobe (pre-cloud) stuff but this may be beyond the justification of hobby-costs...not one to diss stuff i'll trial it first to give it the benefit of doubt.
